Kylie Jenner Blasts Critics After Being Slammed for ‘Sanitation Protocols’ at Cosmetics Lab

Kylie Jenner has been the target of significant backlash for failing to follow proper “sanitation protocols” at a Kylie Cosmetics lab in Italy. She shared several photos and videos in an August 3 Instagram post showing herself “creating” new makeup without wearing protective gear, save for her lab coat. 

Her long hair is seen dangling over the work surface while her bare hands and pink nails are displayed. Jenner appears to be mixing formulas and working with lab materials in the photos.”In the lab creating new magic for you guys. Better than ever. @kyliecosmetics,” she wrote as the caption.

Some users took offense to her lack of hairnet and gloves, taking issue with her disobedience to the protocol. One person commented, “Where are the gloves? The mop cap? The safety shoes???,” while another wrote, “This is so staged. Where is your hairnet, shoe covers, mask, and disposable gloves?

“In the lab creating new magic for you guys, better than ever,” Jenner captioned the carousel of photos, which showed the beauty mogul in a lab coat with her hair down.

The socialite wanted to demonstrate how much she’s involved in every stage of the makeup creation at her company, from measuring formulas and weighing the ingredients to mass producing them.

Kylie Jenner is trading her bodycon outfits and bikinis for a lab coat lately, in order to be sure she’s involved from conception to production when it comes to her Kylie Cosmetics line.

On Wednesday, the 24-year-old gave an inside look at the creation process inside one of her brand’s labs in Milan, Italy. On Instagram, she showed part of the process of creating her extensive product line, which includes everything from “gloss drip” to highlighters and body oils (and from the looks of the photos, may soon include foundation), and she did it all in full glam.

In addition to the lab coat, Jenner showed off a full set of long pink nails adorned with crystals, numerous large rings, and superlong locks. She posed for photos measuring formulas, inspecting vats full of product and weighing ingredients.

On Aug. 4, the beauty mogul was quick to respond to a claim made by Kevin James Bennett, an Emmy-winning makeup artist, for purportedly not following “proper sanitation protocols” during a visit to the Kylie Cosmetics laboratory.

Kylie recently posted photos of herself wearing a white lab coat while overseeing some of the “new magic” in the works for her makeup line in Milan, Italy. Shreveport’s comic con, Geek’d Con, is coming back for another big year in Downtown Shreveport. The show started in 2015, and has grown into one of the premiere events in the Shreveport-Bossier area. Not only that, the show has been the largest consistently active comic con style show in the entire state of Louisiana.

This year’s event is this weekend, August 19th-21st, at the Shreveport Convention Center.

‘Forever Chemicals’ Found In Cookware, Cosmetics Linked To Liver Cancer: Study

A recent study has revealed a concerning connection between the most prevalent type of liver cancer and some man-made chemicals found in industrial items, often known as “forever chemicals.”

It is reportedly the first study in humans to precisely relate liver cancer to “forever chemical” exposure. The term “forever chemicals” refer to polyfluoroalkyl compounds (PFAS), which can last in the environment for decades and have the potential to resist disintegration. They cause air pollution and can harm the organ tissues in exposed humans and animals, CTV News reported.

The Spring/Summer 2023 edition of Copenhagen Fashion Week has come to a close, spotlighting the best designers from the Nordic fashion scene. The event brought together some of the region’s hottest creatives, as well as up-and-coming names to keep on our radar.

Our favorites this season at CPHFW included ROTATE, which staged a disco party-themed collection, as well as GANNI with a runway featuring multiple collaborations. (di)vision delivered a range inspired by the effects of war, while Holzweiler presented dreamy yet technical designs using details taken from parachutes and workwear. Stine Goya was all about exploring contrast with a strong yet soft collection, and Wood Wood brought together a runway celebrating artistic communities.
