Cordae Partners with PUMA After Turning Down 95% of Deals, ‘I Can’t Be a Slave to the Brand’

Cordae isn’t willing to affiliate his name with just anyone. The rapper is opening up about how selective he is when it comes to securing brand deals amid the release of his official collection with PUMA.

The HI-LEVEL collection launched on Thursday with an RS-X, Suede, and a range of apparel including a jacket, hoodie, sweatpants, and three T-shirts. It’s an organic partnership Cordae described as a “full-circle moment,” due to his lifelong respect for the brand.

“In middle school, the public school I went to in PG County, we had to wear uniforms,” Cordae told Nice Kicks. “It was a white shirt, khaki pants, and all-black sneakers, so I always rocked the PUMA suedes.”

The rapper aims to maintain integrity with his brand and the companies he aligns himself with. While speaking on his newest partnership with Bootleg Kev, Cordae explained how careful he is when agreeing to

Bbare cosmetics is bringing clean beauty to the masses

Consumers are demanding cleaner products across the board, advocating more and more for the removal of harmful chemicals and toxins from the products they use.

Companies that are more conscious of the environment and the impact on the consumer are the ones that are at the forefront of each industry today.

One industry that has struggled for decades when it comes to damaging ingredients or harming the environment is the beauty industry. The beauty industry generates more than $100 billion U.S. dollars in revenue each year, so its environmental impact is much too large to continue ignoring.

The average woman uses twelve different beauty products each day, some of which are makeup, nail polish, skin care, fragrances and more. However, many of these products are subject to major plastic pollution, harmful packaging or even animal testing. This is what inspired Chantelle Thompson to develop her very own beauty brand,

Student Lookout: Hang out at the Watsonville Hangar and the return of the Santa Cruz County Fair

What’s happening, folks,

I hope the second half of the summer has treated you well, and that the looming start dates — Aug. 29 for Cabrillo College and Sept. 22 for UC Santa Cruz — aren’t giving you the summer equivalent of the Sunday scaries. If you’ve been in Santa Cruz or back home with few friends to keep you company, though, you might just be ready to get back into the swing of things.

Meanwhile, I’ve decided that I’ll finally be going to Pinnacles National Park for a day or two on my trip next week, and following it up with a day in San Francisco for my girlfriend’s 24th birthday.

It’s been forever (a whole pandemic’s worth of time) since I’ve gone to a national park, so I can’t wait! I’ll take pictures just for you, friends.

Well then, let’s get started …

If you are a student

5 Local Running Stores Around Ocean and Monmouth County NJ

Some dates are pretty important to remember.

Like your significant others birthday, when a job interview is, when the milk in your fridge expires, there’s a lot to keep in mind!

One date that always sticks in my head is the date I decided to start running and getting in shape.

For years, I did marching band and that kept me moving in high school and college, but after graduating college that stopped.

So on December 25th, 2015 I decided to start running, working out, and trying to stay in some sort of shape.

I’m happy to say that to this day, seven years later, exercise is still a regular part of my life.

Just this morning, I cranked out 4 miles on the Seaside Heights boardwalk before getting ready for work.

It was while running that I

Extra! Extra! Rochester Shoe Repair Shop for Sale!

Is Rochester’s Shoe Repair Shop count ready to drop from one to none?

Back in April, Boston Shoe and Boot Repair in the Apache Mall, announced they were closing their doors. Boston Shoe and Boot Repair has been open in Rochester for 104 years, the last 50 at the mall.   Now another shoe repair shop’s building has popped up for sale.

Perusing real estate for sale is one of my weekly “chores.” That’s in quotes because I love jumping on the internet doohickey, searching “real estate for sale” and touring homes and businesses…and sometimes just plots of land.
