Kylie Jenner responds to accusation she breached cosmetics lab sanitation protocols

Kylie Jenner has responded to the accusation that she breached sanitation protocols in her Kylie Cosmetics lab.

After the make-up mogul posted a series of photos and videos promoting her Kylie Cosmetics brand on Instagram on Tuesday, cosmetics developer Kevin James Bennett took issue with the pictures.

Kylie’s promotional shots featured the 24-year-old in a facility wearing a lab coat and interacting with lab equipment and test products.

Kevin reposted four of Kylie’s photos on his Instagram account and noted that Kylie is not wearing a hair net, mask, shoe covers, or disposable gloves in the snaps. He also slammed the lab for staging the photo-op.

“I need the (lab’s) name because I want to make sure my clients NEVER work with them,” Kevin wrote. “Folks, this is not the way we create cosmetics and misrepresents how our industry works. Credible manufacturers follow STRICT sanitation protocols to protect you.”

Kylie Jenner is trading her bodycon outfits and bikinis for a lab coat lately, in order to be sure she’s involved from conception to production when it comes to her Kylie Cosmetics line.

On Wednesday, the 24-year-old gave an inside look at the creation process inside one of her brand’s labs in Milan, Italy. On Instagram, she showed part of the process of creating her extensive product line, which includes everything from “gloss drip” to highlighters and body oils (and from the looks of the photos, may soon include foundation), and she did it all in full glam.

In addition to the lab coat, Jenner showed off a full set of long pink nails adorned with crystals, numerous large rings, and superlong locks. She posed for photos measuring formulas, inspecting vats full of product and weighing ingredients.

On Aug. 4, the beauty mogul was quick to respond to a claim made by Kevin James Bennett, an Emmy-winning makeup artist, for purportedly not following “proper sanitation protocols” during a visit to the Kylie Cosmetics laboratory.

Kylie recently posted photos of herself wearing a white lab coat while overseeing some of the “new magic” in the works for her makeup line in Milan, Italy. Boots.com and Kylie Cosmetics by Kylie Jenner have launched Kylie Cosmetics by Kylie Jenner, Kylie Virtual World a bespoke online shoppable augmented reality (AR) experience that enables customers to explore, virtually try on and buy Kylie cosmetics products on their smartphone via the Boots checkout system in one swipe.

Developed by creative agency, Studio BLUP, the experience is accessed via a QR code. When scanned, users enter a 360-degree virtual Kylie cosmetics world. Features include a virtual try-on (VTO) to let customers try Kylie’s Matte Lip Kits; how-to videos demonstrating product use and benefits; and shop-the-look opportunities to enable users to buy the products. These features are accessed by entering different virtual rooms within the AR experience.

Kylie Just Had a Full Comment War With a Makeup Artist Who Said She Broke Health Protocols at Her Kylie Cosmetics Lab

ICYMI, a whole saga has been unfolding on Instagram involving Kylie Jenner and makeup artist Kevin James Bennett. The drama started when Kylie shared a post on her grid that included pictures and videos of her “in the lab creating new magic” for her Kylie Cosmetics fans.

In said pictures/videos, Kylie is wearing a lab coat, but no other PPE, while she poses in the lab, inspecting equipment, leaning over containers of brightly-colored cosmetic concoctions and even scooping ingredients from one glass beaker into another.
