Kylie Jenner is trading her bodycon outfits and bikinis for a lab coat lately, in order to be sure she’s involved from conception to production when it comes to her Kylie Cosmetics line.

On Wednesday, the 24-year-old gave an inside look at the creation process inside one of her brand’s labs in Milan, Italy. On Instagram, she showed part of the process of creating her extensive product line, which includes everything from “gloss drip” to highlighters and body oils (and from the looks of the photos, may soon include foundation), and she did it all in full glam.

In addition to the lab coat, Jenner showed off a full set of long pink nails adorned with crystals, numerous large rings, and superlong locks. She posed for photos measuring formulas, inspecting vats full of product and weighing ingredients.

Boots.com and Kylie Cosmetics launch Kylie Virtual World AR try-on and shopping experience

Boots.com and Kylie Cosmetics by Kylie Jenner have launched Kylie Cosmetics by Kylie Jenner, Kylie Virtual World a bespoke online shoppable augmented reality (AR) experience that enables customers to explore, virtually try on and buy Kylie cosmetics products on their smartphone via the Boots checkout system in one swipe.

Developed by creative agency, Studio BLUP, the experience is accessed via a QR code. When scanned, users enter a 360-degree virtual Kylie cosmetics world. Features include a virtual try-on (VTO) to let customers try Kylie’s Matte Lip Kits; how-to videos demonstrating product use and benefits; and shop-the-look opportunities to enable users to buy the products. These features are accessed by entering different virtual rooms within the AR experience.

Kylie Jenner Speaks on Accusation of Breaching Sanitation Protocols in Cosmetics Lab Photos

Don’t come for Kylie Jenner’s business.

Earlier this week, the 24-year-old makeup mogul took to Instagram to share a series of photos promoting her Kylie Cosmetics brand. The pictures showed her seemingly working on a few new mixes in what appeared to be a manufacturing facility.

“In the lab creating new magic for you guys,” she wrote in the caption. “Better than ever.”

The post drew criticism from cosmetic developer Kevin James Bennett, who accused Jenner of breaching sanitation protocols during her trip to the lab. Bennett pointed out that Jenner was not seen wearing a hair net, mask, shoe covers, or disposable gloves, and then slammed the lab for allowing her to stage a misleading photo-op.

Kylie Just Had a Full Comment War With a Makeup Artist Who Said She Broke Health Protocols at Her Kylie Cosmetics Lab

ICYMI, a whole saga has been unfolding on Instagram involving Kylie Jenner and makeup artist Kevin James Bennett. The drama started when Kylie shared a post on her grid that included pictures and videos of her “in the lab creating new magic” for her Kylie Cosmetics fans.

In said pictures/videos, Kylie is wearing a lab coat, but no other PPE, while she poses in the lab, inspecting equipment, leaning over containers of brightly-colored cosmetic concoctions and even scooping ingredients from one glass beaker into another. The content clearly seems designed to look like Kylie doing makeup science and being hands-on in the development of new Kylie Cosmetics products.

A week ago, Kylie Jenner shared an intimate look at the Kylie Cosmetics labs in Milan, Italy, to her 364 million Instagram followers — but not everyone is thrilled by the exclusive insight.

Jenner, donning a lab coat, took photos of her seemingly inspecting a foundation-making machine, measuring jars of glitter and scooping ingredients from a glass beaker. At no point does Jenner claim she actually participates in the science behind Kylie Cosmetics products, and that she’s not wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), a hairnet or gloves seem to indicate this was more of a photo opportunity than an actual reflection of her creating products.

Kylie Jenner has been accused of not following sanitation protocols after she was pictured visiting the Kylie Cosmetics lab without a hairnet or gloves.

On Wednesday, the 24-year-old beauty mogul visited the cosmetics factory in Milan, Italy where she shared with her followers a behind-the-scenes look at upcoming Kylie Cosmetics products. “We are in Milan for 24 hours to visit all of the makeup factories to check on new Kylie Cosmetics stuff coming that I am very excited about, and I wanted to take you guys along with me,” Jenner said in a TikTok video posted to her account.
