For the cast of the movie RRR, 2023 got off to a dazzling start. It was brought about by the just concluded 2023 Golden Globes. The powerful red carpet made a triumphant return! With the biggest stars in fashion coming down the red carpet, it was a fashion carnival. The foot-tapping ‘Naatu Naatu’, which RRR earned the award for the best original song, still filled our hearts and ears with delight. Our pride is now overflowing since ‘Naatu Naatu’ has also been nominated for an Oscar for best original song. At the moment, Ram Charan is very busy promoting his hugely successful movie RRR at the Oscars. He recently engaged in conversation with members of the foreign press in Los Angeles.

Fashion Brands Must Act on Inventory Overhang or They’ll go Out of Style

The last two years have been a rollercoaster for fashion brands. The supply chain disruptions of 2021 led to many merchants struggling to get their hands on enough inventory, and then overbuying to compensate. But now, with an economic downturn looming and the threat of reduced spending, companies that overstocked during the pandemic are stuck hoarding mountains of goods in their warehouses that they can’t shift.

In fact, according to a recent survey by Inventory Planner, 44% of fashion retailers have surplus goods they’re desperate to offload, accounting for almost 20% of their entire stock holding. The poll also found that globally, one in four fashion stores wrote off excess stock as a loss last year, at huge cost to the business.

The danger of sitting on inventory for too long is clear. Target saw its shares tumble after it slashed prices to clear out unsold inventory. And

Winnie Harlow and Mia Regan show off their sense of style at Fendi’s fashion show in Milan

Winnie Harlow exuded sophistication while Mia Regan was ever the budding style star as they both arrived at the Fendi show during Milan Fashion Week.

Winnie, 28, looked incredible in a white shirt that she left unbuttoned to show a glimpse of her green bra underneath.

The model teamed the shirt with a pair of beige trousers with silk bottoms, while toting a cream handbag.

She added a few extra inches of height to her statuesque frame by donning a pair of nude high heels.

Her raven locks were styled in neat waves and tucked behind one ear to show off her gold key shaped earring.

Secondhand style strides forward in Oxfam’s London fashion week show | London fashion week

The first show to kick off London fashion week on Thursday night had all the usual elements you’d expect – a long runway with pumping music, models in towering heels and surprise celebrity appearances causing the front row to whip out their phones.

However, there was one particular point of difference: the cast, including the model Erin O’Connor, TV presenter Miquita Oliver and the trans activist Munroe Bergdorf, were all wearing secondhand clothes.

The show, Oxfam Fashion Fighting Poverty, was the third time the nonprofit has taken part in London fashion week.

All the clothes came from Oxfam’s own stores and were styled by the British stylist Bay Garnett. Every look was available to buy on eBay after the show, helping to raise funds for the charity.

Why young shoppers are going wild for low-cost fashion dupes

Welcome to the age of the dupe – the imitations, or even copies, of big-brand products, sometimes coming dangerously close to counterfeiting.

It’s a trend that’s growing on social media, to the extent that people are now proudly unearthing these low-cost versions of bags, clothes, shoes and beauty products, drawing their inspiration from the runways.

Not everyone can afford to invest in a Prada bag – far from it – so the average person sometimes turns to similar pieces, similar in style anyway, sold at low-cost prices.

The concept is certainly not new, with imitations being made for several decades, if not more. But it has perhaps never before been a subject of such pride.

The boundary between imitations and counterfeits is sometimes a little blurry, but what’s today known as dupes are everywhere on social networks, much to the delight of users who are only too happy
